Repeated treatments are necessary for continued wrinkle-reducing effects. As Botox wears off over time, most side effects are only temporary.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Possible side effects of Botox include:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>drooping of the eyelid or brow if injected near the eye<\/li>\n<li>weakness or paralysis of nearby muscles<\/li>\n<li>hives, rashes, or itching<\/li>\n<li>pain, bleeding, bruising, swelling, numbness, or redness<\/li>\n<li>headache<\/li>\n<li>dry mouth<\/li>\n<li>flu-like symptoms<\/li>\n<li>nausea<\/li>\n<li>trouble swallowing, speaking, or breathing<\/li>\n<li>gallbladder problems<\/li>\n<li>blurry vision or vision problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The treatment may also fail to work due to antibodies that fight the toxin. This happens in\u00a0less than 1 percent of people\u00a0who have repeated Botox treatments, however.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The ASPS advise people not to rub or massage the area of the injection after having Botox treatment.
